Day 23 -- July 8: Los Angeles, CA to San Diego, CA

This morning was really cool b/c we went to the church where John MacArthur is the pastor (Grace Community Church). John was not there, but this other guy gave a pretty awesome message relating to Jonathan Edward's sermon, "Sinners in the Hand of an Angry God." After church, we met this guy (Chuck) who talked with us for several minutes about evangelism. When we got through talking, he showed us around the campus and took us to the book store...where Brad bought another book (and I bought a very small book which is awesome!)...and we all just shopped around. After that, we followed Chuck to Wendy's to grab a bight to eat, then we went to Wal-Mart (which was 2 stories...like a mall) to pick up a few things and to witness to people. Chuck was excited to go around and talk to people and to see how I went about starting off conversations. Chuck and I had a few awesome conversations just outside of WM and Austin talked to a few people inside the mall (which was connected to WM).

When we were finished, we met up and hit the road to travel to San Diego. When we arrived, we saw some hot air balloons way up in the sky...too high for me to be comfortable in...and a skate park (which we hope to go to). We met up with our friend from Valdosta, Matt Peeling who is from San Diego and moved back after graduating from VSU. Matt bought us a hotel room (which is so awesome...the deed and the hotel room), so we unpacked our stuff (including my beach cruiser bike that Austin forgot to mention...yeah the guys in Isla Vista GAVE me a bike), went to the room, talked for a whiled, went to Denny's to eat (b/c hardly anything else was open at 9:30pm), hung out some more, then hit the sack.
