Road Trip Day 4: Wichita, KS

After an unforgettable time in KC, we headed Southwest to Wichita, KS. We stayed with a friend of a friend of ours (Megan), whose names were Mrs. Rita (the Mom) and Harris (her 19-year-old son). The hospitality they showed us was out of this world! They cooked us lunch when we arrived and Mrs. Rita let us was our clothes there (and she folded them for us when they were dry), she made our beds for us, fixed us an awesome pancake breakfast the next morning, and even sewed a button onto my shorts (and she would have fixed us dinner the night before if we would have been there). It was a blessing to be able to stay with them.

That night, we went to a block party that was hosted by a church in Birmingham, AL. There, we were able to encourage several believers to share their faith Biblically. It didn't take long for word to spread about the "guys who were on a mission road trip". We met several of the youth, the youth leader, the pastor, and the local baptist association evangelism director. We had the opportunity to speak to many nonbelievers too, which also went well.

The church group served food and stuff, so we just ate there. When we were traveling back to the house for the night, we got the chance to see an amazing sky after the sunset. We took pictures (which we hope to post soon), but the pictures do not do justice to the incredible view we saw. Only God could paint such a beautiful picture!
