But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand. --Ezekiel 33:6

Day 28- El Paso
Today we went to El Paso to Vista New Life Church and listened to Rich Richardson give a seminar on, "How to study your Bible". At the church, we met Ryan, Neal, Ricky, Josue, and other saints who were very encouraging to us. Almost the entire church warmly greeted us and encouraged us....nearly as much as the amazing Oak Hills Baptist Church in St. Louis we experienced nearly a month ago. The seminar was very amazing and really helped everyone to understand the basics of Bible study and interpretation. One thing I really was reminded of was that when studying the Old Testament, you can always ask the question, "How does this point to Christ?" That night, we went and ate dinner at Village Inn with a few of the guys from the church that were around our age. We had a great time and were able to share our testimonies along with some encouraging evangelism experiences with our friend Ryan, who, like most of us are guilty of, confessed to not sharing the gospel enough. Later that night, we spent the night with Josue whose wife was out of town for a couple days. We talked with Josue for a while, then all went to bed.

Brad, Austin and Clay,
I am confounded that many who confess Christ do not believe they should witness to strangers. And how often they beleive their life is so godly that they can witness by their life alone and not tell the gospel. If Jesus was sinless and needed to share the gospel how much more must we! Keep up the good work for the glory of God. I am challenged by you all.
In grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone to the glory of God alone,
Tom Scaife
