Road Trip Day 6: Pueblo, CO

Today was my father's and my grandmother's birthday...Happy Birthday Dad and Granny!

This morning, we arose to eat some cereal and venture out towards Colorado. Before we got up out of Dodge, we stopped by the Boot Hill Western Museum and we got to see the famous Dodge City entrance (when we were leaving).

As of now...we're not in Kansas anymore.

Today was a little longer drive than any other day (except day 1) as we drove about 5 hours to Pueblo West, CO, where we are staying with the McClungs (Brad, Terry, and daughter Rachel). The crazy thing about Colorado (or at least here in Pueblo West) is that you can see for miles and miles away. In fact, from the McClung's front door, we can see the famous Pike's Peek. Mrs. Terry fixed us a great meal tonight, which we really enjoyed. We also met Rachel's friends and her b/f, and after dinner we met Mr. Brad then headed out to the Arkansas Riverwalk to talk to people.

The riverwalk was a neat place and the weather was great tonight. We were able to talk to a few people, but those few conversations lasted a long time. After that, we headed to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things before we headed back to the house. In Wal-Mart, I was able to pass out a few Gospel tracts and I talked to a guy who is a youth minister here for a Seventh Day Adventist church.

Tonight, Austin was not able to speak to people because his throat was a little sore; he thinks he may even be getting a fever. Please be sure to especially lift Austin up in your prayers so that he can return to the battlefield as soon as possible.

As for tomorrow, we have several great places to go to in Denver. Bob Ryan, of the local association, has agreed to house us in Castle Rock (a suburb just south of Denver). I'm looking forward to see what God is doing and is going to do in Denver!

Please pray that we would rely on God for every word we speak and that we would trust Him with the results; pray that God would open our eyes to the opportunities he places before us to share His wonderful news. Also pray for Austin to get better and for Brad and me to be protected from Austin's illness so that more laborers are not pulled away from the harvest. May God's grace rest upon you as you faithfully serve Him in complete obedience. Amen.
