Well, we finally got several pictures put onto the computer, so now we can empty the cameras and take more pictures. Hopefully it will not be long before I get some pictures posted, so stay tuned...
Today was pretty awesome. Austin and Brad went to get lunch and met a guy who was a hitchhiker (who believes we are all gods) and the guy behind the counter (who turned out to be a Christian). Later, Austin talked with the hitchhiker dude again, and he said that he would be interested in reading "One Heartbeat Away", so Austin got him a copy. Please pray for these guys now.
When I got through uploading pictures to the computer, I decided to go to the hardware store to find something to get rust off of my bike handlebars. After a little thinking, I decided not to start such a project right now, so I left the hardware store. On my way out, I ran into a lady who just moved back to SD from Las Vegas...where she had lived for 6 years after she found out that her fiance was gay. I was able to talk with her for a little while, but she was kind of in a hurry to meet back up with her friend. I mentioned that I could get her a book that discussed some tough questions, but she said she didn't have time, but she asked me for the title and author, so I gave it to her. I forgot her name, but please pray now that she would seek out truth and that false doctrine was blow right past her.
Then I headed to the bike shop. When I left the bike shop, I said hey to a guy walking by and he stopped and talked to me. His name is Orkun, he's from Turkey, he's been in America for 1 week, and he claims to be an atheist. We talked for a very long time (while Austin and Brad met up with Matt at Starbucks), and he said he would be interested in reading Cahill's book, so I went back to the hotel to get him one and returned to give it to him. He seemed excited about having my email address b/c he said he wants to keep in touch...even when he goes back to Turkey. Please pray now that Orkun would see that truth does exist, God is real, and God's fierce wrath will abide upon all who deny His Son as their only hope for salvation.
After giving Orkun his book, I met up with Austin, Brad, and Matt at Starbucks. There was a guy there typing on a computer. I began talking with him and found out that he was writing a book about how to effectively use JDate -- a Jewish dating site. Although he is Jewish by descent, he denies Judaism and Christianity, but claims to be more of a new age believer...believing that there is a God, but it's not the God of the Bible. I gave him a few things to consider, we got his email address, and I referred him to a ministry called "Light of Messiah". Please pray that Daniel will come to understand the justice and righteousness of our holy Creator. In the meantime, Austin talked with a guy named John, who we think is a new believer but was just confused about a lot of stuff, so Austin recommended some good stuff for him to read later on.
We all ended back up at the hotel and eventually went to get dinner at a great little shop down the street (where the food network filmed earlier today). It was delicious and Matt paid for all of our meals! After dinner, we just came back to the crib and now we're all about to hit the sack pretty shortly. Tomorrow we will be driving to Phoenix...
