And now for day 31 - Fort Worth to Shreveport, LA

Austin woke up in time to enjoy a great breakfast, but Brad and I slept really late…b/c the room was very dark and I thought it was still early. When Austin returned from breakfast, he woke us up, we got ready to go, checked out, and did some laundry (which was FREE…which was awesome!). While the clothes were washing, we went on a tour of the campus, led by James (our tour guide…who is a current student and a pastor at a nearby church). The school seemed like a very good school to go to, so I think I may look into it a little bit more in the future.

When we got back to the Admissions office, James gave us a packet and answered questions we had (and Mindy helped him) and concluded the tour. That is also when we got to meet Mrs. Janette (Dan’s Mom, who works at the seminary). She was a very nice lady, and she had one of those bubbly personalities that is very contagious. Dan, you got a great Mamma! I wish we could have spent more time with Mrs. Janette, but we had to go finish our laundry so we could hit the road.

While we waited on our clothes, we all had a long interesting chat that I thought was worthwhile. At some point, we were going to go eat, but Austin and I talked to these ladies who were setting up for a school program conference. It was interesting b/c in the program, kids go to Christian school for a period of time and home school for a period of time (less Christian school at a young age and less home school as they grow older), which we found very interesting.

We ended up not going to eat right then, but we went back to fold clothes, then we hit the road. On the way to Louisiana, we ate at Fudruckers…Brad ate chicken fingers and Austin and I split a HUGE 1-pound burger and some fries). After food, we hit the road once more. The trip took about 4 hours total. We could have made it in 3.5 hours, but we decided to stop at Whattaburger to get a shake and Brad got an Icee from Burger King, where I was able to show the curved illusion Gospel tract to the girl working the drive through, and she seemed to enjoy it. Please pray that God would use that tract to open her eyes to see the sinfulness of her sin so that she can repent and place her trust in Christ.

We arrived in Shreveport pretty late. We met Bryan (the music minister of Waller Baptist Church), who opened the church for us and showed us where we would be sleeping. Since Bryan left, we have just been hanging out…typing blogs and getting ready for bed…which reminds me that I’m pretty tired now, so I’m out for now.

Always remember to Bless God!
