Day 7 – Pueblo, CO to Denver, CO

Today was kind of a catch up day for us. We stayed in Pueblo until about 4:00pm, writing blogs, posting pictures, and doing laundry at the McClung’s house. The McClungs were gracious to let us stay at their house even when they were gone, so we were able to get a lot done. When we finished doing all we needed to do, we ate lunch at Carl’s Jr. (which is basically like our Hardee’s, but a little nicer).

After lunch, we went to Wal-Mart (for me to get a journal and pens), then headed North to Denver. On our way to Denver, we contacted Bob Ryan (Director of Missions for the Mile High Baptist Association) who allowed us to stay with him and his wife (Charlotte) in Littleton…a suburb of Denver.

Mr. Ryan is a very wise guy, who went to Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary and also has a doctorate in clinical psychology. Mrs. Charlotte cooked hamburgers for us and we all ate together. During and after dinner, we talked with Mr. Ryan about many different things. He provided us with much wisdom and insight for the days to come, and he gave me several things to really think about.

Soon after our conversation with Mr.Ryan, Austin, Brad and I got ready to go out for the night. Since it was so late (9:45pm), I decided to just stay at the house while they went to Starbucks to talk with people. I just read through Matthew and I ended up going to bed pretty early.
